DOSC Restaurant - Edmonton - Canada

April, 2023 - We visited a modern yet cozy steakhouse in Edmonton that also serves brunch and has a coffee shop inside. We had a delicious chicken sandwich with crispy gluten-free buttermilk chicken, a sweet and spicy glaze, and spicy mayo. The steak sandwich featured a medium-well sliced steak, jalapeño hummus, fried egg, scallions, and a demi-glace on gluten-free toast. The standout dish was the savory and slightly sweet butternut squash soup. Instead of fries, we opted for the crispy kale salad, which had fried kale, fresh kale, pickled shallots, potato crisps, garlic dressing, and brie cheese, providing a fresh and interesting flavour. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience with creative and flavourful dishes that left a lasting impression.

December, 2024 - The restaurant itself is small and intimate, seating around 20 people indoors, which adds to its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor is thoughtfully arranged, evoking a sense of nostalgia that feels almost like stepping into a cherished childhood memory. Weather permitting, additional seating is available outdoors. We were warmly welcomed, and within a few minutes, the owner, Graça, brought us a delightful starter of bread, cheese, and olives. She mentioned the olives were made in-house, and they were exceptional—garlicky, fresh, and bursting with flavour. Entrecôte Alheira com queijo amanteigado e grelos: A flavourful Jewish sausage paired with cheese.
